Our Holistic Approach

At Restoration Hope, we believe in a mind, brain, and body approach. Humans are complex. We’re also dynamic in the sense that our lives, along with our brains and bodies, are ever-changing. While that can be a good thing, it can also make it hard to maintain our health, even our mental health. Our mental health, our history, and our physical health are inextricably linked.

We desire to help people feel their best. Our brain, our mind, and our body are all part of the puzzle. We can figure this out together. When one person gets to a healthy place, it has a ripple effect—healthy people have healthy relationships; healthy relationships lead to healthy families; healthy families create healthy communities.

Our Areas of Care

Mental health and wellness is not a one-size-fits-all approach. The route we choose depends on what you’re looking for, the needs you have, developmental history, and current functioning. Our brain, our mind, and our body are all part of the puzzle. We can figure this out together”

Owner | Founder | Clinical Therapist | Neurofeedback Specialist
Seeing people heal and connect, no matter their age, is something I find incredibly special. Your life, your challenges, and your fears make sense. You make sense.

Christina Cooley

Clinical Therapist | Neurofeedback Technician
My approach is rooted in current brain research that focuses on the importance of our attachment relationship and considers how physiology effects our responses to trauma.

Dan Defouw

Neurofeedback Director | Clinical Therapist
I use counseling and neurofeedback to help each individual I work with have the best chances at living their best lives. I am a strong believer that there isn’t one perfect therapy or medication for each person and I strive to use an integrative approach.

Jennifer Wilson

Clinical Therapist | Neurofeedback Technician
I believe that at the center of much of our human desire is to have unconditional care and positive regard, to know we are safe both physically and emotionally, no matter how messy we might believe or feel we are at times.

Kimberly Hettel

Clinical Therapist | Neurofeedback Technician
I believe that every behavior or thought pattern may have once helped us get through something really hard, and therefore understanding the origin story of your symptoms can help us locate the need that wasn’t met.

Maddie Hargrove

Clinical Therapist | Neurofeedback Technician
I am a firm believer that every individual possesses the ability to grow and evolve and that with the proper guidance and support within a safe and nonjudgmental environment the client can achieve self-actualization.

Kelli Ruhl

Clinical Therapist
My role is as guide, ally, mirror, holder of safe space; my job is to enter into my client’s world, viewing their life through their lens. If I accomplish nothing else, I hope to show the client that they matter, that their experience is valid, and that they have within them the resources necessary to self-actualize.

Lexie Shaffer

Counseling Intern
I consider it a true honor to be able to sit with you as you discover what is most true and authentic about yourself and your story. Working together we will look inward towards your core self and explore ways of cultivating a deeper sense of self-compassion, empathy, and healing.

Cori Holden

Clinical Therapist
I believe that every individual has the innate ability to grow, heal, and find fulfillment in life. I strongly believe it is my role as a counselor to foster a safe and empathetic space for clients to explore their concerns, express their emotions, and discover their own solutions.
