Barbara Sheehan-Zeidler (she/her) is the owner and founder of Creative and Caring Counseling. Barbara graduated with her Master's in Counseling from Regis University in 2001. She is a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. She is a certified EMDR provider, an EMDR training provider, and an EMDRIA approved EMDR consultant. She is Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems, Trained in AEDP Immersion therapy, Is Level 5 trained in Natural Processing, and is Level 1 trained in Brainspotting. Barbara was formerly the President of the Colorado Sandplay Association, and has since focused on providing direct care to her clients, consultation services for professionals, and developing trainings for professionals.
-Understand Trauma, nervous system regulation, and the window of tolerance.
-Review Poly-Vagal Theory and clinical applications of Poly-Vagal Theory.
-Learn the history of Sandplay.
-Understand how and why Sandplay is helpful for implicit trauma.
-Understand and develop clinical applications of Sandplay to support client goals.
-Develop plan for introducing Sandplay to clients.
-Learn when Sandplay is an appropriate interview to use and when it is not.
-Process with colleagues and other participants about experience of the sand and how it can be used in the future.
